ABOUT US

Mission

The Lovell-Kane Area Museum is a nonprofit museum whose mission is to preserve and interpret the history of Frannie, Deaver, Cowley, Byron and Lovell (including Kane, Dryhead, Hillsboro, Himes, Spence, and Iona (1880-1965) and to increase awareness and knowledge of the people and the historical and cultural development of North Big Horn County.

Museum Goals

  1. To emphasize the history of the North Big Horn area.

  2. To maintain an association of persons interested in the history of the towns in the North Big Horn area.

  3. To focus public attention on the North Big Horn area's rich history.

  4. To sponsor cultural and related programs associated with the North Big Horn area's history.
