Lovell-Kane Museum Soup & Pie Supper April 11, 2015

The Lovell-Kane Museum Soup & Pie Supper was held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Lovell Community Center in Lovell, Wyoming.  Many supporters bought tickets and attended the event.  Wayne Spragg was the cook and prepared the soups (and chili).  A big thank you to him for his hard work.  The Lovell Women’s Club provided many delicious pies and cakes for dessert.  A live auction was held and was very successful, as was a chinese raffle.  Thank you to everyone for your donations of items, and for your participation in purchasing auction and raffle items.  Your continuing support in our fundraising efforts helps so much!

Earth Day April 18, 2015 – Lovell-Kane Museum Display

The Lovell-Kane Area Museum will set up a booth for this year’s Earth Day – April 18, 2013 in participation with the National Park Service festival. The theme this year is:  “MAKE EVERY DAY EARTH DAY”  Lovell’s Community Earth Day Festival will be held at the Constitution Park, also known as the Armory Park.  There will be speakers, and booths and fun activities for everyone, including a Junior Ranger activity for the children.

Date: Saturday, April 18, 2015     Time: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Place: Constitutions Park/Armory Park

The Lovell-Kane Area Museum’s theme this year is “Gone but Not Forgotten.”   We are displaying some photos of buildings and aspects of Lovell and of Kane which are gone.  Come and see if you remember some of them. In our effort to preserve the heritage and remember the people and places and the stories they told, we are working hard to have displays and artifacts in our location in the Chamber of Commerce Building.   We will have some earth day handouts as well as an “old-time” bean bag toss activity for the kids.
